About the Ninny

Amanda Norris is a graduate of University College Dublin where she received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. She is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer (UK) and is a licensed Fire Protection Engineer in the State of Nevada.  She also has a post graduate diploma in accounting and finance.  She is – quite possibly – numerate.

She lives in Northern Nevada with her husband, who is also an engineer, and her youngest son, who is a student of engineering. This leads to utterly scintillating dinner conversations! Her older son is a student of statistics in Arizona and returns occasionally to disrupt the nest.

She enjoys Tai Chi, knitting (it’s all about numbers), reading, and is an obsessive Fitbitter (it’s about numbers again).  She strongly believes that more physics should be taught in schools and at an earlier age.

Alea Milham, the rather excellent cookbook author, was the inspiration for this website. Her ideas are  brain worms that work their way into your cortex until you have no choice but to comply with them.

If you would like to visit Alea’s website, Premeditated Leftovers, you can find it at the link below. Be warned! Alea’s ideas are very infectious. So, be sure to wear a face mask when visiting the site and wash your hands afterwards. She has nefarious plans to control the world through her cooking and her contagious concepts.
